Salary:
$123000 - $167000 / year
Bonus and/or Additional Compensation:
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Brief description about the position:
In this newly established Global Wealth Alternatives team, the Product Specialist - Alternative Investments will work closely with Senior Managing Director, Head of Global Wealth Alternatives! The team is responsible for establishing and leading efforts related to market research, product development, vehicle launch, marketing, and working with global distribution to drive growth in AUM from the retail, High Net Worth (HNW) and affluent investor sector through intermediaries.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical expert to the distribution team members through collaboration, including traveling to drive AUM growth and client service.
Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers and partners to assist in packaging, distributing, and servicing Principal’s offerings.
Collaborate with others in the research, design, development, validation, and execution of strategies linked to introducing Principal Asset Management’s differentiated private investment capabilities.
Creation and evaluation of strategic products and initiatives including financial modeling and risk factoring.
Degrees/Licenses designations:
University degree with evidence of a strong background in finance, mathematics, economics, and business. An MBA is preferred. 5 + years of institutional and private capital markets experience, with a history of success in the formation of investment vehicles and capital raises from the retail, HNW and/or institutional sector globally. Experience in corporate investing strategies including real estate. Knowledge of product structures attractive to private wealth channels. FINRA licensing, including the SIE or equivalent, series 7 and 63 (or 66) are required within 6 months of employment.
